to say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement. The capsules were sweltering even with the fan, and I had to navigate around everyone’s giant bags in a cramped hallway. I guess being treated like everyone else is the new luxury, as I expected complimentary refreshments upon arrival but, shocker, that didn’t happen.

Consider removing toiletries from your capsule to maintain quiet during showers, especially in shared dorms.

Spotless digs, and I was loving that cozy pod! Super chill spot to crash after exploring the Gion area. Bathrooms were well-kept, and I felt totally at home. But, navigating around with everyone's bags in the hallway could get tight. The view from the rooftop? Straight fire!

Staying here with my family, including my granddaughter, was delightful. We had fun exploring a gorgeous stone-paved path leading to Kiyomizudera Temple, which was simply breathtaking. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable.
My wife says that having more family-friendly activities would be great.

great amenities but room a bit cramped
The common area offered an inviting space to unwind with snacks and drinks. I appreciated the cleanliness throughout the hotel, particularly in the shared facilities. Additionally, the staff handled our early luggage storage efficiently, making check-in smoother. Exploring the picturesque stone-paved pathways that led us to Kiyomizudera Temple was a delight!
The layout made navigating around larger bags in the hallway somewhat challenging.

A Memorable Stay in the Heart of Gion!
I enjoyed my stay immensely, especially the spacious capsules with amenities like a safe and plugs. The minimalist decor enhances the ambiance. Tip, Keep toiletries outside the capsule to avoid noise during showers. The location near the geiko and maiko area is a bonus for cultural immersion.
